WOOD
The term wood waste includes all wood that has already been used for some purpose and is available as waste for disposal or as secondary raw material.
We take over:
- Wood waste from manufacturing, wind scraps, sapwood (not from packaging)
- Tree trimming
- Chipboard
- Construction/demolition wood waste (roof timber, windowframes shutters)

After 31 July 2023, packaging wood and wooden furniture waste cannot be freely traded in Hungary. This type of material can only be transported within the MOHU system. As Loacker is not yet part of the MOHU system, please contact MOHU directly: www.mohu.hu
RECYCLING AND RECOVERY OF WOOD WASTE
Wood as a raw material has been used by mankind for many purposes since ancient times. It is burned to produce light and heat, used to make tools, vehicles and buildings, and chemically transformed into charcoal, pulp, medicines and other chemicals. In addition to many traditional crafts, the timber industry and the chemical industry are the main users of the wood harvested.
In the early 20th century, wood was still most commonly used as a packaging material. Today it has lost much of its importance, but it is still indispensable for transport. Transport packaging generates around 100,000 tonnes of waste per year in Hungary.
At our site, we sort the types of wood waste we receive and start the recycling process. We pre-treat the material (crushing, shredding) and then transfer it to the manufacturing companies that produce the various wood products.
OUR TARGETS FOR THE RECYCLING OF WOOD WASTE
- Processing and recycling of suitable wood waste for the wood-based products sector
- Wood waste that cannot be recycled as a material is processed and used to produce alternative fuels. This alternative fuel is delivered to biomass-fired thermal power plants, producing green electricity and green heat.
- This is done in accordance with the Hungarian Waste Incineration Ordinance
- Processing and production of wood waste that can be used to generate heat and electricity
- Environmentally and economically sound recycling methods for all wood species
